MeetMeNow

What is MeetMeNow?
MeetMeNow is an application/service provided by WebEx that allows you to hold web conferences and much more. MeetMeNow is a way to give demonstrations, presentations, remote troubleshooting, and hold business meetings across multiple locations. MeetMeNow is scalable to the largest of companies in size yet able to offer affordable web conferencing to even the smallest business or individuals.
How much does MeetMeNow cost?

MeetMeNow has 2 pricing options.

For month-to-month access, only $49/month for unlimited meetings up to 10 participants each.
Save $120 for the year by prepaying for one year ($468) which comes to only $39/month, also for unlimited meetings up to 10 participants each. All billing is conveniently done by credit card that you provide.

Is teleconferencing included in the price of MeetMeNow?
As part of the MeetMeNow service you can utilize the integrated toll number and access code for each of your meetings. The callers are responsible for their own telephony charges. WebEx does not yet offer integrated VOIP calling or toll free telephone access.
Is video supported?
Yes! Use a webcam or similar compatible video device to add video as part of your conferencing session. Each participant can use a camera and the host of the conference controls who has "the floor" by selecting whose camera feed shows up on each members' screen. That's when MeetMeNow really reaches its potential in bringing people together from around the world.
What are typical uses for MeetMeNow?

Sales teams use it to demonstrate products and services to potential clients. Business partners use it to intimately discuss company strategies. Work teams use it to annotate and edit documents together simultaneously. Traveling businessmen use it to connect to their families at home while away. The possibilities are nearly endless.

What are the minimum system requirements?

Supported Platforms include: Windows 98, Windows Vista, NT 4.0 SP6, 2000, XP (Home and Pro), 2003.

Supported Browsers include: Internet Explorer 6 or later, Netscape 4.7 or later, Firefox 1.0 or later, and Mozilla 1.6 or later.

Mac OS X is not supported for the MeetMeNow service. Currently, there are no plans to add Mac support.

PCNow

What is PCNow?
PCNow is an application/service provided by WebEx that lets you access your own computer securely from a remote location using any computer with a web browser and an Internet connection. It also allows you to connect with your email and documents on a remote computer using your mobile phone or web-enabled PDA. You will always have your computer and its files "with you", no matter where you go.
How much does PCNow cost?
PCNow costs only $12.95 monthly, if you pay month to month. If you pay for a full year in advance and agree to the terms, you will save 20% and your monthly cost comes to as low as $10.35/month. You can add access to a second PC for just $2/month, and you can add up to a total of 10 remote PCs.
What are the best uses for PCNow?
The unique nature of PCNow makes the usage possibilities almost endless! Here are some of the most common uses:
  • Telecommuting (using your office computer from home)
  • Webcam server (keep an eye on the kids or whatever else you need to keep tabs on while you are away)
  • Stop lugging around your laptop, just to have your files with you. Access them remotely from any computer wherever you are!
  • Give demonstrations to clients, i.e. give a powerpoint presentation or show them a certain application by having them log onto your PC and watch you.
  • Stay connected to your email, tasks and other personal or business data while away from home. Even on the other side of the world.
  • Buddy browsing. Allow a friend to browse the internet with you by watching where you go and what you click on, etc.
  • Online file storage and access. With PCNow service, you get 100MB of online secure storage to hold files you must have access to, even if your host computer shuts down for whatever reason.

  • Call-back phone authentication (optional)
  • No one at host computer can see what you are doing (optional)
What are the minimum system requirements?

Microsoft Windows and Macintosh OS X.

. Windows:

  • Windows 2000, NT, Server 2003, XP or Vista
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 or later (IE 7.0 or higher recommended) or Mozilla Firefox 1.0 or later (2.0 or higher recommended)
  • Broadband Internet connection that remains connected and ON (DSL, Cable, LAN)
  • No print drivers are necessary for printing remotely.
Mac:
  • Mac OS X 10.3.9 or higher (10.4 or higher recommended)
  • G4 CPU (G5 or Intel CPU recommended)
  • 512 MB RAM or greater (1 GB or higher recommended)
  • Safari 1.3 or higher (2.0 or higher recommended), or Mozilla Firefox 2.0 or higher
  • Broadband Internet connection that remains connected and ON (DSL, Cable, LAN)
  • No print drivers are necessary for printing remotely.
How many PCs can I set up?
PCNow Allows up to a total of 10 computers to be used per account. The first computer is covered by the monthly fee. Each additional computer added up to 10 total is $2 per month more each. For pricing on service for more than 10 computers, please contact us.
How is PCNow different from a VPN (Virtual Private Network)?
  • VPNs need special software (sometimes hardware) or complicated network settings to function properly. This is usually done by or administered by a network administrator, and we all know how busy those guys tend to get!
  • VPNs are typically not firewall friendly. PCNow does not require any special firewall settings (outside of typical) to function properly.
  • VPN is merely a "tunnel" into another network, but does not facilitate the actual controlling of another distinct computer. PCNow has it all built in.
Which mobile devices can I use with PCNow?

If you can bring up a web site on your phone or PDA, you can access PCNow Mobile Access. (Yes, it works on the iPhone too!)
